Name

[edit]

This might be better as Politics of the London Borough of Camden or something similar, I don't know, the name Camden local elections just seems a bit UK-centric. Feel free to suggest alternative names... - FrancisTyers 18:31, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

While I can see your point about the name and its UK-centric meaning, this article is part of a series I have created on council elections in the United Kingdom (see the category that this article is in). The format of having the council name followed by 'local elections' has been used on them all and I feel a consistent format should be used. Would adding '(UK)' at the end of the title make sense to show it is about Camden in the UK? Davewild 20:36, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

By-elections section

[edit]

I'm reproposing my change to the by-elections section to this format. Each by-election is not actually very important and listing every candidate and vote tally on this page is excessive detail and makes the article unnecessarily long. These can be (and the recent ones are) included on their respective ward articles which are much shorter and they wouldn't be out of place.  dummelaksen  (talkcontribs) 22:54, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Mentioning Denham331 as they were the one who objected to this before.  dummelaksen  (talkcontribs) 23:07, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Done: no comments yet so I've gone ahead and done it. Also worth noting that the by-elections section was removed completely from Milton Keynes City Council elections for similar reasons.  dummelaksen  (talkcontribs) 23:45, 26 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
