Hi Nickyl, I just wanted to say how pleased I am to see you’ve created a page for California, as I for one think it’s time we had such an article about a district of Birmingham that has such an interesting history. I trust you don’t mind but I’ve moved the page from California, West Midlands to California, Birmingham, as this form would seem more consistent with the naming of other similar neighbouring areas, such as Quinton, Birmingham and Northfield, Birmingham. Whilst I’m no expert on Wikipedia naming policies, I believe it’s recommended to use the principal area as the distinguisher, which in this case would be Birmingham as the governing authority for the district, rather than West Midlands (county), which is now only a Ceremonial county. I did have a scout around a while back for a district sign for California, as I thought I could recall one from my younger days, but unfortunately couldn’t find it – perhaps my memory is playing tricks with me? Anyroad, well done for creating this article, and hopefully we’ll both be able to add a little more to it over time. Regards (Lepidus Magnus (talk) 10:58, 17 September 2010 (UTC))[reply]
