My cleanup tag
[edit]User:JA.Davidson asked for details on why I tagged this article with {{cleanup}}. These tags are usually added in a rush just to indicate that they do not confirm to the Wikipedia Manual of Style and the adding editor cannot be bothered to clean them up. Here are some improvements that could be made:
- Perhaps the article should instead redirect to computer security, as has been done with COMSEC, INFOSEC, TRANSEC, etc?
- Capitalization per WP:MOSCAPS, for example, "Information Security", "Communication Security", etc are not proper nouns and thus should not be capitalized.
- Linking, WP:MOSLINK: it seems that more relevant phrases could be linked, such as "application", "computer", "security", "kernel" (for their general meanings)
- The lead paragraph appears to be quite long, maybe it could be split in two?
- Two typos/spelling errors that I just fixed.
I know these are pretty trivial and it would probably take less time to actually fix them to write this message, but I'm often working on other things when I look up things on Wikipedia, and can't be bothered to fix them myself at that moment. So, for the sake of an example, here's the list of things that should be done. :) -- intgr 07:43, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
