Station Lineup Please Read

[edit]

In the future please DO NOT include stations which have not been duly confirmed with a reference to be affiliated with CBS Sports Radio, i.e. WFAN-AM will be a CBS Sports Radio Affiliate but at this time WFAN-FM is not a CBS O&O yet and therefore have not entered into any agreement to carry CBS Radio Sports network. CBS Corporation still has to go through the process of getting approval from the Federal Communications Commission to purchase WRXP from Merlin Media which may take sometime due to the fact that CBS in New York would be over its ownership limits and it would require special clearance/permission and/or the divestment of another New York based O&O before they can purchase WRXP. Therefore it is inappropriate to include WFAN-FM. Please wait until such time as CBS has formally closed on the purchase of WRXP and changed over to WFAN-FM. Thank you. Point taken. The reason I had it listed is because every indication has been that should the FCC approve the sale, the station will switch to a simulcast of WFAN (see Scott Fybush's column) and that if WFAN is a CBSSR affiliate, then WFAN-FM would have to be as well. However, I'm perfectly fine with waiting until the deal closes. J. Myrle Fuller (talk) 22:19, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
