I must disagree with the addition of the DAB page April 11, 2006. Glucose is ONE of the eight hexoses (16 if your count the D and L isomers... even more if you count the ketohexoses), so the creation of a DAB page in this case actually further ambiguates the subject... no matter whether you're a chemist (as I am) or a biochemist... all of the hexoses are mere stereoisomers of each other. While I agree that glucose is certainly the MOST common of the hexoses, it certainly is not the only definition. I prefer the original redirect to hexose, so I'm changing it back, but if there is disagreement, please post on this talk page and we'll discuss. -- C. S.
