worth noting

[edit]

Perhaps the first appearance of the cyborg in literature:

C. L. Moore’s “No Woman Born” examines the figure of the female cyborg, Deidre. After this actress’ body is destroyed in a fire in the theater, her undamaged brain is then transported into a new metallic body. This story focuses on how Deidre’s mind adapts to its brand new vessel or body, thus concentrating on the relationship between the mind and the body.Telegramsam70 (talk) 05:00, 6 April 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Telegramsam70 (talkcontribs) 17:16, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No Woman Born should definitely be mentioned somewhere, it's one of her best known stories with no reference to it anywhere on Wikipedia. Euchrid (talk) 01:20, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Worth Checking

[edit]

I have no quote but I am sure I once read that contact between Moore and Kuttner was established via H.P. Lovecraft. This would contradict the fan letter story told here. Has anyone means to check? - GerardS —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.239.218.116 (talk) 13:52, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
