Section

I added a little section about [[1]]. I think many younger readers may know more of Koop through this website than his stint as Surgeon General. Anyone else interested in adding more of Koop's controversial business practices? 23:24, 6 May 2005 (UTC)

Dr. Koop the person is pretty cool. Anybody know if Dr.Koop.com came before webmd.com? I think it did. Raylopez99 10:23, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

--- Yes he came out way before webmd.com. They copied his idea and ran with it. Kinda like microsoft stealing from apple in the early days

A surgical NICU in 1956? Very unlikely. What is the source of this? And what exactly did he do from 1941 through 1946 when the US Armed Forces needed doctors/surgeons? Terrible lack of citations. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.60.25.228 (talk) 02:49, 26 February 2013 (UTC)

Appearances in pop culture

Is no mention of this allowed on this wiki? I brought up his mentioning in The Simpsons twice and it was removed, the second time after discussion with a moderator was had and it seemed like a positive outcome was achieved. I feel like its a great addition, and had several of my friends check out the article out of interest. Is his mentioning in the Simpsons considered too irreverent for the tone of this wiki?
