B1) If you cannot supply cites for everything, delete uncited material. Alternatively, at least close every paragraph with a cite for its entirety.
B2) The lead is so scanty it fails to establish notability of the subject. In the body, he's a bestselling author and decorated hero. None of that notability is mentioned in the lead. In fact, the lead mentions very little. You need to extend the lead into a summary of the body.
B4) Why are random phrases italicized throughout the text?
