Alerting all Byomkesh fans
[edit]It's a shame that there is such a dearth of information on one of our most famous fictional detectives. I'll work on it over time but please add information as you see fit.
I modified it to the best of my knowledge,Pother Kanta is the the first Novel of Byomkesh Bakshi. Satyanwesi is considered for convenience NabarunBanik9191 (talk) 06:45, 19 June 2021 (UTC)
Reworking now
[edit]This is my major project for now... I am going to link each novel and then finalize the main-page with sections such as Main characters, Development of Byomkesh novels, Trivia, Influence on Popular Indian Culture and Sharadindu on Byomkesh. But I'll need some time, since my day job (which pays the bills) is really taking up most of my life right now. --Antorjal 05:19, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

I wanted to point out that in Bengali Byomkesh does not mean sky, but is another name for Shiv or Mahadev. "Byom" means sky."Kesh" means hair. Singhir mama (talk) 21:45, 16 April 2012 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Byomkesh book cover.jpg
[edit]Image:Byomkesh book cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:56, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Correlating Bengali story titles and Hindi episodes
[edit]This is for the sake of completeness. Would be grateful if any person knowing Bengali can do it for everybody's benefit.

Overhaul
