Debmar-Mercury
[edit]Does Debmar-Mercury actual own any part of the network?
- From TV News Check "Debmar-Mercury, which brokered the Buzzr TV deal on behalf of FMNA, ..." and "Fox Television Stations has acquired rights to new multicast network Buzzr TV from FremantleMedia North America (FMNA) and Debmar-Mercury."
- [1]: "Buzzr TV, a digital multicast channel stocked with reruns from the game show archive, which FMNA expects to launch May 31." No mention of Debmar-Mercury.
- Another Variety article: "FremantleMedia North America is looking to get new life out of old assets with the launch of BuzzrTV," "The deal was brokered for FremantleMedia by distrib Debmar-Mercury."
- B&C states: "...to FremantleMedia North America’s (FMNA) new digital channel, BUZZR TV," "Lionsgate-owned Debmar-Mercury, which brokered the BUZZR TV deal on behalf of FMNA," No mention of Debmar-Mercury's ownership.
- Hollywood Reporter: "Debmar-Mercury, a division of Lionsgate which does domestic syndication, brokered the deal on behalf of FremantleMedia."
- The MediaPost source is vague.
- [[2]: "...acquiring rights to digital multicast network Buzzr TV from FremantleMedia North America and Debmar-Mercury." "Debmar-Mercury, which brokered the deal on behalf of FMNA,"
- Debmar-Mercury's website doesn't mention ownership or any thing about Buzzr.
- FremantleMedia just has the PR: "FOX Television Stations has acquired rights to BUZZR TV from FremantleMedia North America (FMNA) and Debmar-Mercury." "Debmar-Mercury, which brokered the BUZZR TV deal on behalf of FMNA, "
- It looks like the only reason that they say "FOX ... has acquired rights to BUZZR TV from FremantleMedia North America (FMNA) and Debmar-Mercury." Is that D-M is the how, as outsourced affiliation management/relations, not an owner. Another way to look at it is that FremantleMedia is crediting Debmar-Mercury for getting the affiliation sign up. I can see how one might be confused, but with out much more, we should only indicate FremantleMedia as owners. Spshu (talk) 00:33, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
The Price is Right on BuzzrTV
[edit]This TPIR that's coming to BuzzerTV, is this Bob Barker's run or Drew's run — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.115.62.158 (talk) 21:16, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
- Neither. It's the original series with Bill Cullen as host. For legal reasons Buzzr is unable to show the 1972-present TPIR. MightyArms (talk) 16:58, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
All of the programming is retro; why the deletion of category?
[edit]Note that all of the programming is classic TV. So the deletion from Category:Classic television networks is unwarranted.

Citing an email?
[edit]The information about the Drew Carey TPIR and Family Feud Classic PlutoTV channels came to me through an email sent from Buzzr. Is there a way this can be cited? If not, surely there has to be some kind of press release with this information on it. MightyArms (talk) 23:13, 5 June 2023 (UTC)
