The result of the move request was: not moved, no indication of change in common name -- JHunterJ (talk) 17:10, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
Buy&Sell → BuyandSell.ie – I'd like to request that this page be renamed to BuyandSell.ie as the current title "Buy&Sell" is outdated. The company now uses the new title on both website and magazine as well as all marketing. Previous management focused on the Buy&Sell term only. I intend to update the associated image and freshen up the content a little. Phil.galligan (talk) 14:35, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
- Comment Buy&Sell should redirect to trade, since that is the common meaning. So this needs to be renamed, if not to the suggested target, then atleast to Buy&Sell (magazine). 70.49.124.225 (talk) 04:27, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
- Comment: Maybe... We have in many cases accepted differences in capitalisation as sufficient disambiguation, eg red meat as opposed to Red Meat. I confess I'm not entirely happy with this, I think it's a grey area of policy, and the normal interpretation that such disambiguations are OK is neither good for Wikipedia nor consistent with other policies, IMO, but there you are. No change of vote. Andrewa (talk) 23:35, 11 May 2012 (UTC)
Support both Buy&Sell → BuyandSell.ie AND Buy&Sell → Trade.Oppose, per RJFF. Nikthestoned 16:57, 12 May 2012 (UTC)- Comment I have strong doubts, without seeing any supporting evidence, that people are likely to search for the term "Buy&Sell", capitalized and punctuated in that fashion, looking for the generic concept of buying and selling. If that's a convention, it's one I've never heard of. Theoldsparkle (talk) 15:20, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose. The rationale appears to rely on a change to an official name, and this is not supported by policy. There may also be a COI problem here, see http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Special:Contributions/Phil.galligan and User talk:Phil.galligan#May 2012. Andrewa (talk) 23:28, 11 May 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose: According to Wikipedia:Article titles, we don't have to follow the style or format used by the article's subject itself for commercial reasons if it differs from common English use. --RJFF (talk) 13:27, 12 May 2012 (UTC)
