Song credentials

[edit]

I don't think Ella Fitzgerald is eligible as the composer or author of Summertime. What do you think of attributing it to George Gershwin instead? Kiskit (talk) 16:21, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page name

[edit]

I've been in contact with Butterscotch, particularly on the subject of securing a Free Use photo for this page. (I've contacted Cas and Terry as well, Butterscotch is the only one to respond so far.) One of her comments was that the page name, particularly the "singer" part, was not really appropriate. This echoed some thoughts I had been having. Her suggestion was "Butterscotch {beatboxer}". I had been thinking either "Butterscotch (entertainer)" or "Butterscotch (performer)". Anyone have any thoughts on what the page should be named, or objections to renaming it at all? - TexasAndroid 14:46, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think that 'Butterscotch (performer)' sounds good. I was actually thinking about creating the article with that name. I just wasn't sure, so I went with (singer) instead, hoping that someone would suggest a more appropriate title. --Credema 18:48, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
"Performer" sounds good. Badagnani 00:09, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Third place?

[edit]

I know that Julienne Irwin was eliminated before Butterscotch, but does that really put butterscotch in the third place or was it just a random elimination out of the three contestants that did not win? That is, was the elimination order based on the number of votes which a contestant received, or was it in no particular order? --Credema 06:11, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Given that Jerry was referring to the Top Three after Irwin was eliminated, and Top Two after Butterscotch was eliminated, I'm pretty sure that the elimination order was not random, but did indeed reflect the voting results. - TexasAndroid 11:15, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Distant Relations

[edit]

It may be interesting enough for the article (if true) that she is the cousin of the original Bess from "Porgy and Bess", even if at third cousin that makes her a distant relative. Because Butterscotch is also in the entertainment industry, I suppose the inclusion of such trivia is permissible. However, including a fourth cousin who is a noted medical doctor, and a fifth cousin who is a tv anchor or reporter is just a silly exercise of trivia that does not contribute to a serious article.

Movie Performance

[edit]

Butterscotch played a minor role as a beatboxing taxi driver in Helge Schneiders 2013 film "00Schneider - Im Wendekreis der Eidechse" (transl. 00Schneider - In the Tropic of Lizard). Someone should mention that, she got over one minute of screen time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.152.198.152 (talk) 15:40, 12 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
