horrible grammar

[edit]

Too many run-on sentences. Could someone please fix the sentence structure? I've taken the time to do this already on several other episode pages. This is really getting annoying. If you can't write proper sentences please don't contribute to the articles. Thank you.

stotch?

[edit]

isnt his surname scotch??? makes more sense why he's called 'Butters'. Full name: Leopold 'butters' scotch

no it's stotch.

Trivia: condit & the ramsey's

[edit]

i'm taking out the comments about the possible innocence of condit & the ramsey's. if people care to know more about those cases, they can visist the pages which are linked to in the appropriate places in the article. besides no one can say for sure whether they are innocent or not.--68.255.173.88 08:05, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, no. Every single police investigation has found them innocent. Its pure media frenzy that keeps casting suspicion on them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.72.138.45 (talk) 04:21, 26 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

8/16 showing

[edit]

According to the TV listings, this episode was supposed to be shown in syndication last night (August 16th), but "South Park is Gay" was shown instead. Considering the news regarding Jon Benet's alleged killer, do you think the episode was pulled? (DrZarkov 08:10, 17 August 2006 (UTC))[reply]

edit re: jon benet ramsey killer

[edit]

I am erasing the trivia addition about the Jon Benet Ramsey killer being " putatively true." His wife says he was with her in Alabama when she was killed, and he is known to have been obsessed with both her and Polly Klaas.

Section headings

[edit]

This episode is formatted differently than pretty much all the other episodes - shouldn't it be re-formatted - ie to make

===Development of Butters===

into

==Development of Butters==

...and maybe a change to the level of the Trivia section aswel? ...and get rid of the cast section? (or at least change it quite drastically - its hard to see where one name starts and another one ends atm...

...AND shouldnt there be a screenshot from the ep? - I could make one - just asure me that this article isnt some special case where this isnt needed...Tehniobium 00:14, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Warcraft sounds

[edit]

This article claims the episode uses Warcraft sounds. Is there any evidence for this, as opposed to the two using the same stock sounds? 70.71.224.200 18:11, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Interestingly, when you click the link to season 6 in the infobox, it doesn't head to Jared Has Aides, but it heads straight to Freak Strike, which is actually the third episode of season 6.. I've tried to correct it, but I can't seem to find out how to do so.. Anyone here feel like correcting it? --213.93.104.153 20:42, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mr. Garrison

[edit]

Has it been proven that's Mr. Garrison in the sex scene Butters walks in on? I know it looks like his head for a second, but if you're gonna call him Mr. Garrison, you might as well say the guy screwing him is Mr. Slave because he sounds like him and Garrison and Slave have a relationship later on the show. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.183.13.73 (talk) 18:38, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Uncited material

[edit]

Cite please;

This episode is perhaps most notable for marking the point where Butters became a popular and important character. Before this, he had been little more than a supporting character. With Kenny dead (having died “permanently” in the previous episode), a spot had been opened, temporarily at least, for a new main character, a role Butters held until “Professor Chaos” the following season. In DVD commentary, Parker and Stone indicate they already planned to make Butters the fourth group member, and created this episode as a prelude to him assuming a more prominent role in the series. Even after Kenny's eventual resurrection (in "Red Sleigh Down") Butters would remain an important character, despite not being one of the main four.

  • The scene at the restaurant, where Simpson, the Ramseys, and Condit start chanting, “One of us! One of us! Gooble gobble! Gooble gobble!”, is taken from the 1932 horror film, Freaks.
  • Butters encounters the three laser dots of an unseen Predator alien that watches him with heat vision on the creepy road to South Park. Butters is also attacked by a Predator in "Imaginationland Episode II".
  • When Butters is in the gay bathhouse, the song It Feels So Good by Sonique is being played.

Butters' Very Own Episode

[edit]

My text about Susan Smith continues to disappear from the episode description. In the Susan Smith article it mentions the South Park episode. The South Park episode description should be clear as to which part is referencing Susan Smith. I can cite a news article with a break down of the Susan Smith case if that will help with clarification. I will wait for discussion before attempting edit again.
