I have removed the following text from the article:
Pitsmoor has struggled over recent years with the perception that it is an undesirable place to live, mainly due to a couple of high-profile shootings roughly 4 years ago, and a moderate amount of drug-dealing. Residents of the area feel that the area is misrepresented, and point to the strong community spirit that still exists in Pitsmoor and Burngreave compared to other areas of Sheffield, and falling crime. South Yorkshire Police have stated that Burngreave as a whole now has a lower crime rate than the Sheffield average. The area is known for a number of ethnic food shops, and two of the most popular curry houses in Sheffield; Mangla and the Kashmir Curry Centre.
The reason that I have removed it is because it includes a number of uncited (see Wikipedia:Verifiability) and POV claims (e.g. "Residents of the area feel...", "strong community spirit... compared to other areas of Sheffield", "The area is known..."). Although some of the points covered may be worth mentioning in the article it needs to be written in the neutral point of view without weasel words and with citation of reliable sources. —JeremyA02:12, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
