Splitting out the 1994 revival
[edit]It is quite advisable to split out the 1994–95 revival of this series into a separate article. (I would then advise merging List of Burke's Law episodes (1994 series) (which is misnamed in any case) back into the new article on "Burke's Law (1994 TV series)" which makes more sense as well). If no opposition on this is proffered in the near-term, I will carry out this split perhaps in a month. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 05:49, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
- No opposition registered to the proposal, so I will carrying out a WP:SPLIT shortly... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 00:15, 18 April 2017 (UTC)

Secret Agent punctuation
[edit]Is it:
- Amos Burke Secret Agent (no punctuation in lead paragraph)
- Amos Burke, Secret Agent (a comma in history section )
- Amos Burke: Secret Agent (a colon on the disambiguation page)

- @Lady Aleena: I believe I looked up a screenshot of the title card, and there is no punctuation at all. Most other sourcing record it variously: like your last two examples; meanwhile Brooks and Marsh write it as Amos Burke—Secret Agent. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 22:46, 23 July 2017 (UTC)
- @IJBall: So what would you use to promote consistency? LA (T) @ 09:38, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
- My advice, because of the title card, would be to use no punctuation at all. But because editors will likely be able to find sourcing that uses any of the "with-punctuation" options, I'm not sure the use of punctuation is necessarily "wrong". But without punctuation is probably the most "correct" version IMO... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 12:50, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

It's amazing that some people think when it comes to the title of a series, there could be something more definitive than the title card that was shown on screen. 74.104.189.176 (talk) 02:54, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
Produced by Aaron Spelling
[edit]Aaron Spelling produced this show according to the credits on the show itself. Also according to IMDB. Spelling worked at Four Star, so very logical that the credits on the ACTUAL SHOW are accurate. For reasons that are unclear, this fact keeps being reverted. Anyone doubting this needs to watch an episode first, then comment. [1][2] It's actually a very interesting fact, given the similarities of the parade of famous guest stars to later Spelling programs. PLawrence99cx (talk) 04:17, 4 September 2021 (UTC)

The source of his wealth
[edit]If memory serves, Burke explained several times during the original series that, "Daddy bought AT&T at ten." If anybody has a proper source for this, it would make a good addition to the article. JDZeff (talk) 18:32, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
