Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because... Although this page does describe an organization, it should not be deleted for several reasons:

  • It is an unbiased description of the organization and its history. It in no way encourages any readers to visit the site itself through persuasive language.
  • On the contrary, an encyclopedia article about this organization is helpful to readers who may not know what the organization is, since its name is not descriptive of its function. I personally didn't know what the organization was when I first heard of it, and would have found a Wikipedia article on the topic to be quite valuable.
  • A description of this organization is merited within an encyclopedia because it is a unique part of the revolution that our society is undergoing, where traditionally brick-and-mortar based services are being transformed by technology. This organization is the first of its kind, making it a historically significant topic.
  • It has been referred to and cited in a variety of external texts and resources. Its references are substantial enough to support the above claims.
  • Furthermore, it is structured and worded in a manner similar to other articles about organizations, such as Web MD, which have been satisfactorily posted on Wikipedia in the past. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GraceM23 (talkcontribs) 16:25, 2 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@GraceM23: I have removed the speedy deletion tag as there is clear evidence of the site being used as a source by national media. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:20, 2 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
