I could not find the term "Buena Vista Iron Ore District" in the geology literature, so I believe it was fabricated and that this article is a form of astroturfing. Also, the page was created by User:GreaterNevadaRanches. That user has only two edits, both on the page. Reviewing the deletion discussion, I agree that the tone of the article is that it is a pending sale. The article did read like an advertisement. The notability is somewhat questionable as well. That said, the project could have great impact, it is of note because most mining these days is for gold, which makes an iron mine of interest. There has been some notability: There is a December 7, 2014 sfexaminer.com website page about the project. The Elko Daily had a 2010 article. The biggest problem is that the name is artificial, so this article should be renamed. I propose "Buena Vista Iron Ore Project", which is what the Pershing County permit is for. An alternative would be the "Buena Vista Iron Mine". Another alternative would be "Buena Vista Mine", which is what is used in Reeves and Kral (1955). It might be best to use "Buena Vista Mine, Nevada" so as to differentiate it from other mines, though there is at least one other Buena Vista mine in Nevada, so this points to "Buena Vista Iron Mine". The area is in both Pershing and Churchill county, so "Buena Vista Mine (Churchill County)" is not really sufficient, Yet another alternative would be "Buena Vista Hills", but this is weak because the GNIS citation indicates that the name was selected in part because it was used in Reeves and Kral (1955). Also, the area is known for the mines, not the hills. So, I propose "Buena Vista Mine", because it is citeable and the name from GNIS. or "Buena Vista Iron Ore Project" because perhaps that is what is on the permit. Comments?
