Estate village?
[edit]I deleted the following sentence:
- ^ "Visit Vale website: Villages In The Vale". Retrieved 2008-09-13.
- ^ "Buckland House, Oxfordshire Summary". Parks & Gardens UK. Retrieved 2008-09-20.
Neither of the cited references support this claim—I couldn't find anything significant about Buckland in the first website, and the second (which timed out and I could only see it via a Google cache) says nothing about it being an estate village. Many of the cottages and other buildings pre-date the classic "estate village" era of the 18th/19th century, so I dispute the claim anyway. Some of the cottages may have been built for estate workers, but not the majority. Dave.Dunford (talk) 16:55, 2 September 2013 (UTC)
