FWIW, Bruce Sundlun was born Bruce G. Sundlun but upon running for governor of Rhode Island, had his name changed to remove the middle initial. He removed the initial out of frustration with how his name was appearing in local newspapers. Having changed his name, he promptly visited the offending newspaper with documentation from the judge regarding the change. I don't have a source for this, just overheard him retelling the story on a recent visit to Middleburg, VA. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.155.231.126 (talk) 15:19, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think this article goes into FAR too much detail for the former governor of the smallest state of the union, who served two terms in the early 1990s. Compare it in length and detail to the wiki for current Rhode Island Governor, Donald Carcieri. It is much longer, without any reason.

I believe any governor deserves at least a stub on wikipedia, but as Sundlun was not a prominent national political figure I believe this article is auto biographical in nature and should be trimmed. The length and detail of this article might be appropriate for Governor Schwarzenegger or a former Governor like Dukakis, who would later be the nominee for president. For instance, do we really need to know the name of his current wife's employer?

This was obviously written to Sundlun's terms. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.172.195.104 (talk) 14:47, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
