[edit]ok, so he is notable for being in a hall of fame, but why the move. Don't we prefer going by a person's given name or the one they use? Event he weblink uses "Dr. Bruce" Nelson Stratton Mbisanz (talk) 03:46, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hello, Mbisanz. In making this move, I am taking a cue from biographies of professional wrestlers and entertainers who are best known by their stage name or name they have adopted to overcome some perceived problem with their birth name. The titling is covered under Wikipedia:Manual of Style (biographies), but distinctions as in this case are more community consensus driven unless an edit war emerges. I am ok with doing a second move to Bruce Nelson Stratton ... my feeling is that Dr. Bruce Nelson Stratton is not the best choice because academic titles are generally excluded from article titles (referring to WP:MOSBIO again). However, I'm not sure (from the one web link I've added to the article) what his real given name is ... it might actually be "Nelson Bruce Stratton", for instance. Nonethless, having the articl at either Bruce Nelson Stratton or Nelson Stratton would be ok. Thoughts? --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 13:01, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- I prefer aything that has a given-style name over a personality style name. So Bruce Nelson Stratton is fine by me. MBisanz 09:14, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
