1930 Merger

The article previously indicated that Brown Brothers merged with each of WA Harriman and Harriman Brothers. I amended because the Harriman article indicates that WA Harriman was founded in 1922 and changed its name to Harriman Brothers in 1927, when Averell's brother joined. However, upon further research, I've found conflict. A contemporaneous NY Times article supports the merger as being a merger of three firms. However, Brown Brothers website describes it as a merger of two firms, Brown Brothers and Harriman Brothers. Ordinarily, secondary sources take precedent, but given the nature of this dispute and an obvious lack of bias present in a recitation of their own corporate history, I give equal weight to both sources and am now perplexed. Thoughts welcome. ButtonwoodTree (talk) 15:20, 16 August 2014 (UTC)
