An anonymous user has been trying to insert an article which is obviously lifted from some other source. The writing is very promotional and violates a neutral point of view. I have reverted the article back to a previous version. That version in itself is not perfect, but it is much more neutral in tone and can continue to be edited. Dbart 13:19, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
The article which had been inserted was lifted directly word for word from the ABC website. Dbart 13:59, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
I seem to remember that Justin went to Afghanistan, not Iraq?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.233.197.246 (talk) 06:08, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
This statement: "The series brings in good ratings for ABC standing at about 14 million viewers. Mostly carry over viewers from Desperate Housewives." I think, deserves a citiation. --Redheaded dude 02:26, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
On the November 6,2006 episode, Justin talks about Afghanistan rather than Iraq. As such, I changed the article and reference accordingly. --Redheaded dude 02:45, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
Episode 1x09 ("Mistakes Were Made Pt 2") clarifies that Justin originally served in Afghanistan but has been recalled to active duty -- this time to Iraq. Atlantawiki 01:19, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
When the article mentions Kitty in the list of siblings, it says she is the only Republican. In several episodes, Tommy has professed a conservative viewpoint as well. I'm not sure that she's the only Republican, just the most vocal about it. the sleeper 02:15, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Kevin page
I made a page for the character of Kevin. I'm not sure if I'm going to do any other character pages for the show, but I think he's such an important character, especially in terms of gay characters on TV. If any of you wanted to read it or had comments, the page is here.—Preceding unsigned comment added by JamesB3 (talk • contribs) 00:51, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
homosexuality
i don't see the need to have two men openly kissing on just about every show. if this continues i will stop watching this program. there are many ways to end the scene without having them in a big open mouth kiss.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.216.131.81 (talk) 21:38, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Moved
The article was moved as "Brothers and Sisters" was already a disambiguation page; in addition, the TV series is the second in the US to have "Brothers and Sisters" (with or without an ampersand) as its title, and provisions had to be made for the article covering that series (when it is written). Fair use rationale for Image:BrothersAndSisters-S1.jpg
Image:BrothersAndSisters-S1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:54, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Episodes
Should the Episodes section in the main article be incorporated into the other Wikipedia article "List of Brothers & Sisters episodes"? Episode information appears to be maintained in two articles. Merbenz 23:37, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Actors' awards
Do we really need to insert "Oscar winning" in front of every mention of Sally Field's name? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ronstew (talk • contribs) 03:56, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
- We get the same thing here aswell, I think it's great she won and everything, but seriously, it get a little vein when they announce it everytime you see an advert or preview for it. (♠Murchy♠) 13:11, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
Main character killed off, or fake-out?
I don't think they'll kill Justin off in tonight's episode. Note that the commercials are careful not to show who receives the triangle-folded flag. I could be wrong, of course. I'll be watching tonight. Cromulent Kwyjibo 22:20, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
Can anyone tell me which episode(s) this paragraph is referring to, when "The characters played by Calista Flockhart and Sally Field go see the Los Angeles production of Wicked"?? Happy‑melon 22:18, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
third season
Is there any mention of whether or not it is know whether there will or will not be a season three? -- JanCK (talk) 16:30, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
No way of knowing yet, we should find out in May however with the current numbers and rankings it's definately going to be back for a third season. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.70.87.72 (talk) 21:26, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Soap opera?
Shouldn't Brothers & Sisters being included in the "soap operas" category, since it effectively is one. It can still be a drama series as well as being a soap opera. 79.66.11.189 (talk) 04:02, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Spoiler warnings needed
I am reading this in the UK where we are somewhat behind the US, part way through the second season I believe. There are several major spoilers contained prominently in this article, even in the cast list, e.g. Kevin married, Ryan etc.
I'm not au fait with Wikipedia but could someone sort out the spoilers or put up a big spoiler warning for the Europeans? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.54.219.2 (talk) 09:37, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
- I agree, the same happened to me (also in the UK). Was actually looking for any info on what is the reason some "Previously in B&S" is said by Sally, some by Calista, and so on, which order if any and why, and I stumbled across Kevin and (oh, so happy, though, but won't repeat)'s wedding.--Nauki (talk) 23:35, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Emmy Awards
I believe there is some false info about Emmy awards won by Randell Bowers and Robin Martin, whose names don't come up in any search in Google (not as actors at least) and not even in the Wikipedia page of the 2007 Emmy awards. Are those even actors who actually participated in the show?--85.74.54.131 (talk) 16:04, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
Balthazar Getty a credited NON series regular in Season 4
In the article here: http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/10/21/ask-ausiello-spoilers-on-lost-house-greys-ncis-glee-and-more/
it mentions that Getty is NOT a series regular but keeping his name in the credits was a condition of his return for guest appearances. So he is a credited cast member, but he doesn't appear. He actually ISN'T a cast member anymore. Should that affect how long his tenure on the show is listed on the main page? Obriensg1 (talk) 04:03, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
Spoilers in the Characters description
Why should Saul be descripted as a gay brother of Norah? Can't it just be Norah's brother? This way wouldn't be a spoiler... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.80.121.30 (talk) 00:26, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
- Spoiler to what? He has already mentioned it on the show several times and it should be mentioned in his character's bio. --DJS24 20:04, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
- Spoiler to people who isn't waching the third season... And it is no a character's BIO, it is a brief description... If you want to put it in HIS page, do it, but not on the main series page, it's not needed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.80.121.30 (talk) 15:02, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
- It's not wikipedia's responsibility to protect viewers from "spoilers" because they're not watching the current season. This is an encyclopedia, not a fan's blog.--75.34.184.148 (talk) 16:37, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

Upper class?
Somebody keeps putting in the article that the Walkers are an upper class family, when this is not the case. The Walkers are upper-middle class. In terms of status, upper-middle class (by today's standards) often implies a person or family who are probably college educated, professional (or own their own business) with a personal fortune that could be in the millions. Upper-class, however, would refer to a family that probably had hundreds of millions, a mega-sized mansion with a team of staff such as butlers, cooks, housemaids, etc. The Carringtons from "Dynasty" are a good example of upper class, but the Walkers aren't quite at that level. Yes, Nora's house is a reasonable size, but everybody else lives in fairly modest accomodations and nobody drives around in limos or has a private jet (and Rob Lowe's politician character doesn't count because he's not a Walker).79.66.64.235 (talk) 15:03, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
- All the people who are indicating that the Walkers are an upper class family are absolutely correct. If you refer to the Wikipedia definitions of upper middle class and upper class, the Walkers are without a doubt upper class. For instance, the article on upper middle class defines that group as "In most cases an individual making anywhere from $125,000 to $200,000 a year." William Walker would clearly have blown that out of the water. The article on upper class notes "most sociologists define the upper class as the wealthiest 1%,"
- The article on Affluence in the United States continues that "the upper class is most commonly defined as the top 1% with household incomes commonly exceeding $250,000 annually." If William Walker could raise 5 kids, afford at least two huge homes, and maintain two mistresses AS THE SOLE BREADWINNER, he was not some schmo working 9 to 5 for under $250,000 a year!
- I am from Pasadena. The Walkers are a stereotypical example of "Pasadena Blue Bloods" - an archetype that the writers have clearly drawn upon. How many (upper) middle class people have huge, luxurious ranches in Ojai as a weekend/Summer residence? Their Pasadena house alone would be worth anywhere from 5 to 15 million dollars! By California standards, it far surpasses "reasonable," which I'll take to mean close to average in size (i.e. 2,000-2,500 square feet). The strictest definition given by the Wikipedia article on the American upper class states "The super-rich, according to Beeghley, are those able to live off their wealth." Mrs. Walker never worked, still doesn't need to work after the death of her husband, and without any new working income is able to live AND maintain a mansion. Long story short, they are Upper Class. Udibi (talk) 09:55, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
- I agree, they should be mentioned as a upper class family. --DJS24 20:06, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, what you're describing is a fictional family that was extremely wealthy, but that doesn't negate that the Walkers are upper class. You're talking social class standards like Ivy blue bloods or what someone else described as Pasadena blue bloods. Yuppies would be another one. That's not the same as economic class which is solely based on income. Earn $250,000 or more and you're upper-class. By the way, not everyone who's upper-class lives the lifestyle you described and plenty of people live that lifestyle without making that amount of money. --75.34.184.148 (talk) 16:44, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
- Also forgot to mention, American upper class is a good read on the topic. The concept of class strata in America is often misunderstood by the middle class who most inappropriately see themselves as working class, again because their spending habits and wishful spending habits determine class in their heads. --75.34.184.148 (talk) 16:47, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
Show References
Is it me or does the show tend to reference New Zealand quite a bit, 2 episodes in particular ("Date Night" and "Light the Lights"), firstly in "Date Night" when Kevin sarcastically suggests they move to New Zealand because no one will recognise them (sadly implicating that NZ is some hick back-water country that has no connection to the rest of the world, which is simply not true) and then in "light the Lights" when Nora brings Holly a Pavlova (a food indigenous to New Zealand). Maybe its just me, thought i'd bring it up. (♠Murchy♠) 13:18, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
PAVLOVA IS NOT INDIGENOUS TO NEW ZEALAND!!!! It was invented by Australia and stolen by New Zealand :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.177.94.148 (talk) 01:30, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
Kevin and Scotty Commitment Ceremony or Marriage?
In the story Line it wasn't a commitment ceremony it was a Marriage, the characters got married while it was possible in the State of California. The word used in this article should be Marriage. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.26.6.159 (talk) 03:24, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
Rob Lowe's death ...
Is it not true that at the end of the season, it was not clear that Rob Lowe's character actually died? I realize that this is no surprise to anyone but I think that technically, his death was not stated unequivocally. I am sure that some people are still hoping he makes it and, therefore, it should not be stated that he died. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.236.139.32 (talk) 02:39, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
Kitty is Younger than Tommy
I believe the family order of the brothers and sisters is incorrect. Tommy is older than Kitty. Kitty and Kevin went to high school, where she ran for senior class president and Kevin helped the brother of her rival sabotage the vote count against her. Kevin would have to be closer to her in age than four years.174.22.153.9 (talk) 10:34, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
The character of Olivia is not list for the 5th season. She is the adopted daughter of Kevin and Scotty. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.24.166.143 (talk) 19:36, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
Sarah's last name
Someone changed Sarah's last name from Walker to Brody in the cast list. Although she has just discovered that Nick Brody is her father, her name in the tv show has not changed - she is still refered to as Walker. Also, she is due to marry Luc at the end of the season and so if anything would, from then on, being using his last name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dallum89 (talk • contribs) 18:11, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
