Maybe link to the article about the death broadcast on live television in 2004 that the text talks about? – Daniel Brockman 08:28, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I searched around and found this: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,156303,00.html which sheds light on the subject including previous deaths on recent live TV, but doesn't include any such 2004 death. J. Straub 00:29, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

ought to be differentiated

The seconds-long delay should not be confused with the practice of recording a program (radio or television), broadcast in the Eastern portion of the United States, for later rebroadcast in the Western portion, generally in order to fit into prime time slots in both markets. This was commonly done as a more economically viable option to re-staging the entire program.
