Syon Breviary
[edit]The link on the Syon Breviary goes to a commercial page selling the same. This does not seem appropriate for an encyclopedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:E000:3E0B:BA00:F542:CCED:9CC8:BAAD (talk) 15:38, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
Minor comment
[edit]The article seems to present the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church as if there were no other Indian Orthodox churches. It seems to ignore the distinctiveness of the Armenian service book, simply putting it with those of other Oriental Orthodox Churches, which are perhaps more like the Byzantine than the Armenian. - User:Bealtainemí, no. The Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church also officially calls itself the Indian Orthodox Church, because it is an autocephalous Oriental Orthodox Christian denomination based in India; its website, for example, states "The Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, otherwise known as the Indian Orthodox Church, traces its apostolic roots to St. Thomas, the Disciple of Jesus Christ." Its patriarch is not in Syria, as with the Jacobite Syrian Christian Church and the Jacobite Syrian Christian Church does not claim to be the Indian Orthodox Church either, but rather, the Syriac Orthodox Church of India. Given that the Armenian Apostolic Church is an Oriental Orthodox Church, information about it will be grouped in the paragraph about Oriental Orthodoxy, not juxtaposed with information on Eastern Orthodoxy.
