Date of birth
[edit]According to a 1988 report by The Spokesman-Review the date of birth is probably incorrect, because Venus met Miller in 1976 when she was in her early 30s. Date of Birth removed pending verifiable citation. Also conflicts with iMDB as this comment date. (Liftoph (talk) 01:59, 12 September 2010 (UTC))
Dispute of Pageant History
[edit]If this information is true, I would think that this individual would show on the Miss Texas USA article and does not. Also, in order to compete in and be runner-up at Miss Universe, would likely have had to been Miss USA at some point. The only reference that I can find to this information is in the individual’s autobiography on their web site. --Brian G 12:34, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
- Nobody connected to the pageant system, would ever refer to "Miss Texas USA" as "Miss Texas Universe". And as you said, she would have to win Miss USA to compete for Miss Universe. So, its bunk, and should be removed. --Rob 14:56, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
- You are all thinking miss as in beauty contest, when I wrote it I was thinking miss as in fitness contest (The Green Fish 10:13, 17 July 2006 (UTC))
Removing Vampi
[edit]I believe the inclusion of Vampirella in Venus' filmography is incorrect and will remove it. Vampirella was a 1996 B movie (Corman, I think). It starred Talisa Soto as Vampirella, and have not found Venus in the credits: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0893457/. Feel free to change if you can provide a citation that doesn't recurse. Eiger Sanction was great, though. Pulsadinura (talk) 08:52, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
Plagiarism
[edit]The information in the encyc article is plagiarized from other sources, primarily Ms Venus' own website. Skaizun (talk) 20:07, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
Kung Fu was a TV show, not a movie
[edit]Kung Fu, starring David Carradine, is listed as one of "several other films" in this article, but it was a TV series; although made-for-TV movies based on that show were made, Ms Venus appeared in just one episode, "The Demon God", in the third season.Skaizun (talk) 20:13, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
ABT
[edit]There is no mention of Ms. Venus either on the ABT website or — with respect to ballet — in the NY Times, which functions as the journal of record for ballet in New York. — Robert Greer (talk) 14:23, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
Unverified life
[edit]Can anything about this woman's life be verified? I just see a series of sentences followed by {citation needed} tags. I'm also beginning to think this woman is fictional and that goes along with the 30 year old photo of her in the infobox. Beyond the book she published of letters she said she received from Miller, is there any real knowledge about this person?
If not, it doesn't seem like we have even the bare bones of a valid Wikipedia biography page and I'll nominate this for deletion. At this point, it looks like a vanity page, more than a referenced profile page. 69.125.134.86 (talk) 21:23, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
- This article has been nominated for deletion because the bulk of information on it is unsourced and unverified. If you dispute this, please provide citations where requested in the article. 69.125.134.86 (talk) 12:53, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
- This article is a good example of how WP does not work. Despite a sound policy to "immediately remove" unsourced info re living persons, the project is fine with letting this stand for years as is, even after all unsourced material was explicitly tagged. Delete it. 24.17.192.120 (talk) 06:27, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
- I agree (hence my nomination for deletion), but there is a process that's taken to delete pages, rather than simply cutting out and removing all of the content. "Blanking" can be undone and going through the process of proposing the page for deletion will actually remove the article itself. 69.125.134.86 (talk) 16:32, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
I see that additional citations have been provided which is an improvement. Unfortunately, several very important quotes still have no reference as to where they came from or they refer to a self-published publication/website which is not considered a reliable source. I still question whether this person meets the Notability and WP:COI criteria. 69.125.134.86 (talk) 01:43, 28 July 2013 (UTC)

Putin Invite
[edit]That’s a complete falsehood. His personal aide of 28 years has no idea about this “play”, nor about this person. She found it by pure accident and was astonished that someone would fabricate such an easily debunked story. 95.144.110.54 (talk) 07:17, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
