The article http://www.esi.ac.at/~susanne/FFOeFH2011_KUTK.pdf was written by me. How is it possible to commit a copyright infringement when I use my own material?
- Do the other authors listed there approve of the fact that you are releasing it under a free license that allows anyone to use it for any purpose then? かんぱい! Scapler (talk) 16:28, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
Yes, actually they have asked me to start an article on wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karlunterkofler (talk • contribs) 16:34, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
- Please see wp:donating copyrighted materials. Simply claiming permission is never enough. Hairhorn (talk) 15:42, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
I inserted this few sentences now as a correct citation from that article. It makes no sense to me to rewrite the same content with a slightly other formulation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karlunterkofler (talk • contribs) 18:40, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
- Quoting an entire block of text is not the same thing as a citation, there is no clear need for a block quote. Placing quotation marks around text is not a replacement for going through proper copyright channels. Hairhorn (talk) 18:45, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
- The whole block has been rewritten. It seems to me that only a small part of one sentence is close to the orignal text. I have added again the reference to document the fact where this is coming from. I do not see a problem any more, in particular since the author of this part is also an author of the reference. --Shop lifters of the world unite (talk) 21:12, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
- There was plenty left, including the block quote. I have tried to rewrite or remove what I could find. If the author wants to donate copyright, he or she can send permission through OTRS, it's never enough to simply claim ownership on the talk page, since anyone can do that. Also, the block of text was from a different article, not the one this editor claims to have written. Hairhorn (talk) 00:50, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- We have released the above article under a creative common license (as indicated in the above pdf on the first page). So I presume it should be possible to use the material. So how to proceed? Thanks for your help. --Karlunterkofler (talk) 19:10, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
- I missed the license before; it wouldn't apply to the large blockquote, however, since that's from another paper. The text needs attribution on the entry page, perhaps someone knows the proper template. I've removed the copypaste tag for now. Hairhorn (talk) 19:23, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
- I feel that the original quote was OK. However, it is probably better to not have a section with just one quote. I have added the connection to the ancient greeks and think this part should be fine now. --Shop lifters of the world unite (talk) 20:33, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

Please merge the three articles into one
[edit]Why are Breath test, Breath diagnostics and this article separate? They should be merged. Kerubis (talk) 21:58, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
