I'll review this. It looks like it's almost ready. An anonymous username, not my real name 18:25, 26 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • See MOS:LQ; there are many lines that would benefit from this.

  • The three paragraphs in the lead could probably be condensed to two.
I don't think so. Each paragraph focuses on one or two sections. First paragraph is plot and cast, second is production, and third is release and reception. - 祝好,Sinoam(聊天) 18:58, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • who is forced to commit deadly violence Deadly violence? Is there a better way to word this?
    Fixed - 祝好,Sinoam(聊天) 18:23, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Bradley realizes it's a police trap Contractions like "it's" should always be spelled out in any article.
    Fixed - 祝好,Sinoam(聊天) 18:24, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • and picks a fight with multiple guards I'm not sure if "picks a fight" is appropriate tone. Maybe just "fights"?
    Fixed - 祝好,Sinoam(聊天) 18:25, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • the Warden of Redleaf Prison I think "warden" should be lowercase here.
    Fixed - 祝好,Sinoam(聊天) 18:28, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Zahler named the film Riot in Cell Block 11 (1954) and its director Don Siegel as an inspiration. Shouldn't it be "inspirations" plural?
    Fixed - 祝好,Sinoam(聊天) 18:29, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Zahler wrote every moment of graphic violence into the script of Brawl in Cell Block 99. Zahler felt uncomfortable with some of the more extreme graphic violence. Perhaps reword to "Zahler wrote every moment of graphic violence into the script of Brawl in Cell Block 99, although he felt uncomfortable with some of the more extreme graphic violence." However, the first sentence is a little odd on its own, as why would someone besides the script's writer have written those scenes?
Reworded to "Zahler wrote every moment of graphic violence into the script of Brawl in Cell Block 99, although he wondered if some scenes has gone too far." - 祝好,Sinoam(聊天) 18:32, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Vaughn remarked" is used right after "Zahler remarked". Maybe switch up the word choice a little to sound less repetitive.
    Changed to "expressed" - 祝好,Sinoam(聊天) 18:33, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Zahler and Bakshi focused on the blue tones in the early parts of the film Is there a better word choice than "blue tones"?
    Changed to "blue colors" - 祝好,Sinoam(聊天) 18:36, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Computer-generated imagery is abbreviated as CG instead of the correct CGI. Change the first use, and for the quote, perhaps add [sic] afterwards. I did further research, and apparently the term CG is quite common in the film industry, so I'll let you decide for this one.
  • Not all reception was mostly positive. Remove the word "mostly" here. Also, the examples given appear to be rather positive anyway.
