Images for this page?

[edit]
Primary Cavity of Rayed Gratteri Crater

I came across this nice image for one of the craters listed here. The crater doesn't yet have its own page. Another editor reverted my add, commenting: "this image should go on the crater's page - this is just a list article." No such page (yet) exists.

I'm unaware of any policy against illustrations on List pages, and in fact have added others from time to time. List pages tend to be pretty dry, and someone might decide to write up a new article for craters like this one. Comments? --Pete Tillman (talk) 05:03, 24 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

There's no policy against adding images to list images (some almost require it) but for a list this big I would be concerned about getting images of every crater on the list if we just start adding them in; one image isn't an issue but then there will be two and then twenty. I'm okay with them being added (for the record I was the one doing the reverting) but I think a discussion would be good first. Primefac (talk) 22:06, 24 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I doubt very much that there are images available for every crater on the list! Kevin Gill always does a nice job on his reprocessing of the HiRISE images, and, who know, maybe after Christmas I'll rustle around and make an article for it. Um... what? I said I'd be fine with it if there's a conensus that having this image added is okay. Primefac (talk) 03:30, 25 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Well, so far it's just me & you. Hard to say there is or isn't a consensus, eh? Cheers -- Pete Tillman (talk) 05:19, 26 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
By definition, if there are two people in a discussion and they do not agree, there is no consensus. Primefac (talk) 15:20, 3 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
