Jewish origin

Well, the putative jewish origin of Brandão needs, at least, some references!

Agreed -- is it not related to "Brendan"? Perhaps they have a common root, and maybe it is Hebrew, but this seems a bit of a stretch to assert! --75.147.0.201 (talk) 13:20, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Brandão is NOT of Jewish origin, but an ancient Portuguese Christian toponym, even if it may have been used by some Jewish people somewhere and "somewhen". See here (in Portuguese). The Ogre (talk) 15:01, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
