Post Mill
[edit]Info on post mill The last one was a post mill at the top of Far Street (grid reference SK581311), built before 1832, derelict in the 1870's and burnt down on November 5th 1880 . It had an open trestle and a tailpole. conflics with Notts County Council history of Bradmore which states The last one was a post mill at the top of Far Street which became so derelict in the early 1900s that it was dynamited.Bradmore History Regards --palmiped | Talk 17:21, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- It is most likely that it was the brick base that was dynamited in the early 1900s, with the wooden tower burnt in 1880.--palmiped | Talk 00:20, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Ramper
[edit]The road name Ramper does not neccesarily relate to ramparts or a ramp. A ramper was a road with a turnpike which might be a more likely derivation of the name of the road in Bradmore. There are a number of roads named ramper in Lincolnshire. Leatherdale (talk) 09:15, 25 September 2012 (UTC)
