Practical information request

Could somebody include information about how the home gardener could attract these types of insects for natural controls? I know the adults like the nectar of some flowers. What kinds? this would be greatly appreciated. Joinery1 (talk) 11:05, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Other characteristics

The text reads as if resistance to ionising radiation (compared to mammals) is a particular characteristic of braconids. It is not. It is characteristic of the adult (imago) stage of all insects which have complete metamorphosis. It has been ascribed to the (relative) lack of dividing cells in the imago. The original work was, of course, done on Drosophila. You could either add "Like all adult insects", or (if you do believe braconids are indeed special here) add a reliable source. Examples of parasitism

I do not like the examples section. The examples are too specific/random given the huge scope of this family. However, I don't want to delete it and lose the information others have contributed. Maybe a small curated selection of examples would be good, or a link to a table or list where people could add more examples without cluttering up the article. I'm envisioning a table with columns: Host (family:lowest ID), Parasitoid, Location, source. Thoughts? Zelomorpha (talk) 22:28, 14 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
