Feedback from New Page Review process

[edit]

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Rather than linking only the taxobar to the Wikidata item, it's much better to properly link the whole article to Wikidata, as I've done here. This means you don't need to put any parameters in the taxobar, and links the article immediately to any articles in other languages or often to a Wikimedia Commons category. Hope that makes sense!.

Hello @Blythwood:. This is a little curious (for those who only edit Wikipedia), since you appear to have changed nothing in the article, but only changed the Wikidata item. Gderrin (talk) 20:01, 30 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hey @Gderrin:, sure, I know you got autopatrolled long before the current page review messaging came in. (Incidentally, have you thought of getting the new page reviewer right? You'd be more than well qualified for it.) I also marked the article as patrolled yesterday, but I thought this was worth suggesting. My feeling's if you're getting the info off Wikidata you might as well finish the backlinks, but I'd love to know if you disagree, because I know how many species articles you've created. Anyway, nowadays you can leave a message separately to that review action that doesn't explicitly say that's what you've done. Blythwood (talk) 00:02, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again@Blythwood:. Aha! - now I get it. Thanks. And for the compliment but I'm fairly occupied writing plant articles. One day ... page reviewer...etc. Gderrin (talk) 00:34, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
