Somehow, we need to show that this occured in AVRO 1938. These two players have played each other often.Jasper Deng (talk) 06:22, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It does say that at the end of the first sentence, and links to the AVRO 1938 article. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 06:27, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but I think the article title still needs to be fixed. I don't think this game is ever referred to as "Botvinnik versus Capablanca", so the very first sentence isn't quite accurate: "Botvinnik versus Capablanca was a game of chess played between future World Champion Mikhail Botvinnik (as White) and past World Champion José Raúl Capablanca (as Black) at the AVRO 1938 tournament." Chess literature is more likely to call the game Botvinnik v. Capablanca 1938. Quale (talk) 07:18, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Or Botvinnik versus Capablanca, AVRO 1938. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 07:28, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I think that last one is it. Any thoughts?Jasper Deng (talk) 19:45, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good to me. Quale (talk) 03:40, 5 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

With that, I'm making the move. We can discuss better titles afterwards.Jasper Deng (talk) 03:59, 5 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Where was it played?

[edit]

Does anyone know for sure where this game was played? Some sources say Rotterdam, others say Amsterdam. --Zundark (talk) 14:03, 3 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
