What is the basis for stating that the football team was National Champions in 1940?

-->Boston College Eagles

[edit]

I propose changing the name of this page to Boston College Eagles. Any comments? --Bleupelouse 06:22, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, this move would be in keeping with the WikiProject College football. Intrepidsfsu 03:22, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Should there be a mention of the fire in the BC-Holy Cross rivalry section? PaulC/T+ 08:37, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Split

[edit]

I'm not sure when it was suggested, but the football does really needed to be split to its own article. It is getting too long for this page and they are a rather prominent team so should have their own page. If there are no objections, I'll do this soon (or whoever suggested it can do it) Phydend 15:15, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll be making the split soon. If you have any questions, please contact me at my talk page. Ian Manka 20:49, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"affiliated with the Catholic Church"

[edit]

To my knowledge, BC has NO "affiliation" with the Catholic church (unlike, say, Notre Dame). In the past 15 years, some right-wing Catholics in the BC Administration have called it a "Catholic" school. I graduated in 1974, and it wasn't a "Catholic" school then. The phrase should be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.74.143.190 (talk) 06:39, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
