Borsheims was purchased in 1947 by Louis Friedman and his brother in law Simon Gorelick. Louis had just sold his 1/2 ownership in the Nebraska Furniture Mart to Rose Blumkin. By 1950, Simon was in ill health and wanted to consolidate his businesses for his sons. Thus he sold his 1/2 interest in Borsheims to Louis Friedman who in turn sold his 1/2 interest in Simon's Jewelry. a pawn ship, to Simon Gorelick. Also, at that time, Isadore Friedman closed his pawn shop, Alan's Jewelry, and acquired 1/2 interest in Borsheims. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.8.194.66 (talk) 17:11, 25 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
