Why I removed information

[edit]

The first paragraph said Balinsky grew up in an erudite environment and cited a source. I read that source and it does not say that at all. However, it does mention the source of his love of etymology so I inserted that instead. Oona Wikiwalker (talk) 03:23, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Why I changed the name of the University Balinsky was first connected to

[edit]

The source cited: https://onlinelibrary.com/doi/epdf/10.1002/bies.20253 nowhere says he was deputy director of I. I. Schmalhausen Institute of Zoology. It talks about Schmalhausen as a teacher and colleague.

However, this source: https://journals.co.za/doi/epdf/10.10520/EJC96417 specifically says he was deputy director of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. Oona Wikiwalker (talk) 03:57, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
