This article says:

the court, in deciding whether to allow the jury to consider a statement of conspiracy, cannot hear the statement itself: the allegation had to be supported by independent evidence.

What does that mean? What is a "statement of conspiracy"? Is it a statement that says there is a conspiracy? Or a statement that itself somehow constitutes conspiracy? Or something else? Michael Hardy (talk) 17:28, 28 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
