"Noted Listees" section

[edit]

Is there a reason for this section? It seems to me that such a list is completely irrelevant to the article. The words to express my confusion escape me at this time. 24.254.163.150 (talk) 21:25, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ספר החיים in the Hebrew Bible?

[edit]

I was confused by ספר החיים. I am very much a beginner at Hebrew, so I may just be confused, but I didn't find ספר החיים in the Hebrew Bible and I didn't find the phrase "Book of Life" in the 3 English translations of the Hebrew Bible that I searched.

Can anyone help me find these references? Where is this phrase used in Jewish texts?Jonathan.robie (talk) 22:05, 17 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"In apocrypha" section

[edit]

Perhaps an editor could remove or move the references to the Book of Revelation and Daniel because those books are considered by both Catholics and Protestants as canonical (i.e. non-apocryphal). Perhaps the title/author to this section incorrectly conflates "apocrypha" (non-canonical) with "apocalyptic" (describing catastrophic events). Both the Book of Revelation and Daniel are clearly apocalyptic but not apocryphal. TrueBlueLou (talk) 19:25, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
