Photos

[edit]

I realize that the article has no real photos of the subject, but I really question the idea of using photos of other aircraft here, like competitors. We don't do this on other articles, for instance you won't see a photo of an A320 on the Boeing 737 article, even though it is a competitor and is mentioned in the text. I am mostly concerned that it is confusing for readers. - Ahunt (talk) 20:44, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Competitors pics seems insightful to me. The most relevant includes both competitors, like
Right now this Global 7000 article is in a difficult time for pictures, as it made its first flight thus the promo/fair use pic isn't usable anymore and the article is waiting for a Commons pic but no spotter has released its pic under a free license yet. Widespread aircraft like A320s/B737s have no illustration problems. The Cessna Citation Longitude has the same problem while the Gulfstream G500/G600 already has open license pics. I added an A350-1000 pic in the Boeing 777X article facing relevant competition text but it still has the promo/fair use pic. This said, if you think the G650 pic is confusing, remove it! I defended my proposition but yours is perfectly right. Cheers! --Marc Lacoste (talk) 07:45, 7 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Many aircraft articles have no photos. I find a good solution is to provide external links to photos when there are none available for use here. - Ahunt (talk) 14:38, 7 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Global 8000 needs its own article

[edit]

It looks like to me that the Global 8000 is it's own type of aircraft. Shouldn't this airplane have its own page instead of being added to the 7500's page? Looking at Bombardier's web page they are marketed as fairly different airplanes. https://businessaircraft.bombardier.com/en KittyHawkFlyer (talk) 17:01, 22 July 2022 (UTC) Or at least we should change the page name to Bombardier Global 7500 and 8000.KittyHawkFlyer (talk) 17:05, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
