should Bog (Cyrillic Бог) really redirect to God? Isn't that what the "languages" sidebar is for if it is just taken as the literal translation of the modern use in slavic language for the word? I think in the English Wikipedia, there should at least be a disambiguation page there saying that in it's etymological use "bog" could refer to slavic polytheistic deities, there is after all a page for God (male deity) separate from the "God" page, and just literally translating the use of the term in another language shouldn't be the use of a redirect within a Wikipedia project foreign to the language being meant (I mean "bog" is never used in the English language to mean God, and the redirect usage should only be for English language uses seeing as this is the English Wikipeda: if there is to be a page for it at all it shouldn't be a redirect to a contemporary literal translation of a foreign word, the page should be about the word itself!) 4.255.54.186 (talk) 17:45, 20 November 2008

Bog just means god in Russian, and Ukrainian. We can't have a list, or article of every foreign word for god. Thank you.--209.80.246.30 (talk) 17:16, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
