[edit]

Why is the section on Dylan called Lore ? -- Beardo 03:44, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Changed. Rothorpe (talk) 00:23, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"Thank you everyone, thank you very much. Ummm. [Thank you, Bob!] I, it's been a while, now. And, uhh, since that time I've played all over the world with all kinds of people, and everybody from Mick Jagger to Madonna, I've been on the stage with most of those people, but the most beautiful person I've ever been on the stage with was a man who is here toninght. He used to sing a song called 'Suzie Baby'. I want to say it, Bobby Vee is actually here tonight. Maybe you could show your appreciation, with just a round of applause. We’re gonna try to do this song, like I’ve done it with him before once or twice." EdRicardo (talk) 21:32, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The intro is too long compared to the body. The intro should be perhaps only one-fourth of the total article or less. Wjhonson (talk) 22:00, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:BobbyVee1.jpg

[edit]

Image:BobbyVee1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Family History Page

[edit]

There is a family history of Bipolar Disorder and suicide in the Tapanila family Bobby Vee's mother, Saima Tapanila, had Bipolar Disorder and spent time in mental hospitals which is why Bobby Vee spent his summers with his cousins on the Tuomala family farm. His mother was in the hospital and not home to care for him. She was hospitalized for Bipolar Disorder. Ultimately, Saima Tapanila took her own life by shooting herself in the head. This is not discussed in the Tapanila or Tuomala families. Bipolar goes back many, many generations in the Tapanila family and has been passed down to current generations in the Tuomala family. It is a genetic disorder of mutated genes that passes from generation to generation. Bobby Vee does not speak of the death of his mother or her illness in public. He never comments on her or speaks of her due to how she died and the nature of her illness. The families feel shame and embarrassment to mental illness wrecking havoc through the family tree. Saima is not the only family member to become ill or take her own life. She is simply the mother of a celebrity and this makes her unique. Historically family members take their own life with a gun and Saima was simply following the family tradition. She was not unique or odd. She was simply yet another family member who was felled Bipolar Disorder and took her own life with a gun. The family does not talk about her publicly for fear it will cast a shadow on Bobby. Such is the stigma of mental illness in the Finnish-American community. They act like Bipolar Disorder and mental illness do not exist. They live in denial. 1. ^ Bobby is my cousin. I am well aware of my family history and Bobby's mother since we are related. This is not public knowledge as it has been kept hidden from the public and media. It is easily verifiable with her death certificate and hospital records. Saima Tapanila Velline was in and out of the mental ward of the hospitals in Fargo, ND during the 1940s until her death.

Memory care

[edit]

I'm familiar with AD as described by the Alzheimer's society in the UK and unfortunately also familiar with UK care homes. I've never heard the term memory care before -is it a US term? JRPG (talk) 22:52, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
