  • ... that Bob Wells has been called the "high priest" of vandwelling? Source: "Mr. Wells is, in many ways, the self-styled “high priest” of living in a van." medium.com [1]
    • ALT1:... that when Bob Wells first started living in a van, he regularly cried himself to sleep? Source: "At first, he couldn’t believe that he had fallen so low, and 'crying [him]self to sleep was a routine event.'" New York Post [2]
    • ALT2:... that Bob Wells created a Burning Man for retirees? Source: "Often called a Burning Man for retirees, the RTR is starting to skew younger, at least by anecdotal measures." The New York Times [3]

  • Article is new enough, long enough, and without major outstanding issues (though I understand the use of Template:Rquote isn't recommended by the MOS). QPQ is done. The first hook is cited to a Medium blog post, which can't be considered a reliable source. If it can't otherwise be corroborated I suggest removing the sentence from the article. ALT1 and ALT2 check out fine. Will leave to promoter to decide. --Paul_012 (talk) 11:13, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for that review. On your suggestion, I have removed the blog reference. StonyBrook (talk) 21:12, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

COI tag (August 2024)

[edit]

The account that has three major edits tagged as "minor" edits that has added a huge chunk of information is a WP:SPA and also the one that uploaded the profile picture. Appears to be closely related to the subject. Graywalls (talk) 13:07, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I take it you refer to these edits. However, I cleaned those up the very same day. Additionally, I just removed two of their (now) external links which seemed overly promotional (one of them didn't even work). StonyBrook babble 15:34, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also, original research based headings like "influences" is COI. These sources are not cited for the contents but rather described as "influence". Graywalls (talk) 16:05, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for pitching in for the cleanup Graywalls. I added a quote from the source which explains that HOWA accepts donated cars from third parties to convert into living space for the indigent. They also purchase (used, probably) vehicles for this purpose. But the lede is fine as you worded it. StonyBrook babble 21:31, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
