Death of Bob Collins
[edit]It has just been announced on the ABC that this senator has died. I have added the info to this page and the Wikipedia list of deaths for today. 210.50.56.14 00:27, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
- Ex-senator, actually. With regard to the date of death, the reference we're using here doesn't say he died on 20 September. Please see my post at Talk:Deaths in 2007#Bob Collins (Australian politician). -- JackofOz 04:37, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
This article states he died of cancer, but Paul Toohey of The Bulletin believes he committed suicide. ntennis 23:08, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Served concurrently with David Beddall in Communications
[edit]I just made a correction about who succeeded Bob Collins as Communications Minister and it was not David Beddall, it was Michael Lee. This is because David Beddall was a junior minister and held the portfolio of Minister For Communications while Collins was in Cabinet as Minister For Transport and Communications. Collins and Beddall eventually left Communications in the December 1993 reshuffle which saw Michael Lee replacing them in Communications.--The Shadow Treasurer (talk) 03:23, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

Portrait in NT Opposition Leader gallery
[edit]It seems that the fact of his portrait in the NT Opposition Leader gallery got removed.
Someone should reinstate it. 122.108.156.100 (talk) 02:03, 18 June 2017 (UTC)
All references to Collins seem to have been removed from the ABC's huge collection of revisionist leftist propaganda. The ABC will bang on about Joyce until the cows come home, but they mentioned Collins just once in 2007 the news, and did not really convey the truth.203.87.118.239 (talk) 03:23, 19 February 2018 (UTC)
