Origin
[edit]I took out this sentence: Boat Encampment was already an established company location when David Thompson used it as his base for his downward exploration and charting of the Columbia River. According to the Nisbet book I sourced in adding some info, Boat Encampment was established by Thompson. Also, he was still with the North West Company at the time -- which perhaps ought to be mentioned. I forgot to do so and have to run now. Maybe later. Pfly (talk) 04:32, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
