The Blue Meanies
[edit]The Blue Meanies are a race of blue cartoon villains that hate music. In the Beatles' cartoon movie, "Yellow Submarine", they invade Pepperland, a peaceful place of love, happiness and music. They are comprosed of a large circular body covered in blue fur with large light blue hands with six claws each. They have a large red mouth with yellow teeth. They where black goggles and have black ears like that of Mickey Mouse.
I saw a band called the Blue Meanies supporting Citizen Fish many years ago- I even bought a tape by them which I think I've still got somewhere... Is this the same band? They were great BTW (very Ska influenced sound IIRC) quercus robur
