Writing of Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain

[edit]

My concern is that Fred Rose is credited for writing Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain. My father Louis Krainatz and his twin brother George wrote the song. They both worked in Chicago during the same time Fred Rose worked at bars for a time. They were supposed to perform on WLS with there music but didn’t make it to the stage.

My dad claimed for years this song was stolen from him. I was 2 or 3 when I remember them singing that. I was born 2/45. Roy Acuff recorded it I 46. I was not privy to his music and was totally unaware of him and the song.

It was when Willie made it popular that I started paying more attention and also my dad giving me another verse. There was a total of 8 versus written for that song. Of course not all of them used. 2600:6C47:A3F0:8400:5D36:E90D:602C:F6CB (talk) 22:01, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

History

[edit]

Willie played at a “Drive-in theater” in Houston on 10-31-1975 when it was announced that Blue Eyes hit #1!!!!! He played it 4 different times that night saying, “I may never have another #1 again so I’m playing it over and over again”!!! Ha-Ha-Ha!!! I was there singing along with his new success!😍❤️ 166.198.250.7 (talk) 17:19, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
