I have just deleted huge swathes of this article which were copied verbatim or closely paraphrased from the book's original website and other online reviews. This is a copyright violation and must not be restored. Editors who peristently violate copyright will be blocked. Anyone further expanding this article must so in your own words and please avoid in-universe, detailed plot descriptions. I have also added two references to the article. For further guideance please read:

Please do not edit for 2 weeks

[edit]

I will be editing this page for a college course assignment. Please do not touch for the next couple of weeks. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Perriccm (talkcontribs) 03:12, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Welcome to Wikipedia. This article could definitely use improvement. However, you cannot ask that no one else touch it while you carry out your assignment. Wikipedia doesn't work that way. As you can see, I just now had to remove blatant copyright violations from it. Once you start working on the article you can add to it. You can gradually build it up again or work on the draft in your user space (a sandbox) and then paste it into the article. You can create a sandbox by logging in and then clicking on the link at the top right-hand side of the page that says "My sandbox". Add text and then click save. You can then continue to develop the article there. Once you start working on the article here, you can add Template:Under construction to the top of the article. Please read that page to understand how and when it should be used. But again, it will not necessarily prevent other editors from also working on the article, merely signal to them, what you are doing. If your professor has been telling their students to leave these kinds of message on talk pages of assigned articles, could you please ask them to get in touch either here or on my talk page. Best wishes, Voceditenore (talk) 07:07, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Prior content in this article duplicated one or more previously published sources. The material was copied from: the book jacket blurbs and the novels themselves. Copied or closely paraphrased material has been rewritten or removed and must not be restored, unless it is duly released under a compatible license. (For more information, please see "using copyrighted works from others" if you are not the copyright holder of this material, or "donating copyrighted materials" if you are.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or published material; such additions will be deleted. Contributors may use copyrighted publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences or phrases. Accordingly, the material may be rewritten, but only if it does not infringe on the copyright of the original or plagiarize from that source. Please see our guideline on non-free text for how to properly implement limited quotations of copyrighted text. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with these policies. Thank you. Voceditenore (talk) 06:44, 1 October 2012 (UTC). My comments above in the section at the top of this page, Copyright violations removed, still apply. Editors are invited to re-expand this article, but you must do in your own words. The copy pasting of bits and pieces from the novels is blatantly obvious. Voceditenore (talk) 06:44, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I have removed an entire section which consisted of nothing but copypastes of the book advertising blurbs, once again. This is a copyright violation and is not permitted on Wikipedia. DO NOT restore this material. Voceditenore (talk) 15:09, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Plot summaries are incomplete

[edit]

As of March 2013, these plot summaries appear to be incomplete. Each one looks like it ends partway through the book. Plot summaries in Wikipedia are supposed to summarize the plot of the whole book. Someone who has read the books should feel free to complete the plot summaries.

Also, describe what actually happens in the plot instead of writing "teaser" text that fails to explain. Here's an example of teaser text that should be rewritten to explain what actually happens:

Jordan Llewellyn, Bliss’s younger half-sister, has been behaving differently and is caught in a horrendous act. Bliss had always been treated as the favorite child, with Jordan often pushed to the background, even by her own mother, BobiAnne. But then the Llewellyn family secrets about seemingly inept young Jordan begin to surface and all becomes clear.

Go for it, Blue Bloods fans. See WP:PLOTSUM for an explanation of how to write a plot summary on Wikipedia. "Spoilers" that give away what happens are acceptable. Jonesey95 (talk) 13:02, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
