Garry Newman as a notable person
[edit]Garry Newman does not have a wikipedia article, but it is Redirect with possibilities. His video game, Garry's Mod has sold over 10 million copies, and his game Rust has sold over 4 million. Both video games are credited to his company Facepunch Studios, but Garry's Mod was developed by Garry himself. Meiloorun (talk) 🍁 18:43, 30 August 2016 (UTC)
- The first thing is, you didn't link Garry Newman but left it as black text. That's a strong hint at non-notability. The second thing is, having visited Garry Newman, I find no mention of Bloxwich at all - either with or without sources. Failing just one of these means that he does not meet the inclusion criteria at WP:LISTPEOPLE. See also MOS:LIST#Adding individual items to a list.
- So you should expand that redirect into an article which satisfies WP:BLP and also explicitly states that he lives in Bloxwich with reliable sources that verify it; only then may he be re-added. Until then, the entry does not belong in list. --Redrose64 (talk) 20:40, 30 August 2016 (UTC)
- I'll be sure to work on the Garry Newman article. Meanwhile, I did find a twitter post from Newman saying he lives in Bloxwich. Meiloorun (talk) 🍁 21:35, 30 August 2016 (UTC)

Proposed merge of Mossley, Walsall into Bloxwich
[edit]This housing estate is not notable. The best I can find in any of the refs is "Bloxwich expanded further during the 1950’s-60’s. Lower Farm, Dudley’s Fields, Chepstow and Mossley council housing estates and several schools were built. ", and "Mossley Estate is a former Walsall Council estate constructed after the second world war. The name dates back to at least 1840, and originates as an old farmer’s field name, Mosley (sic) Field, upon which the estate was built.", which do not justify having a separate article. - Done. There wasn't much to merge. Quarl (talk) 14:09, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
