Spoiler tags

[edit]

With regard to the insertion of the "spoiler warning" template on this page:

From Wikipedia:Spoiler warning:

Spoiler warnings must never be used for non-fictional subjects. If explicit spoilers[1] are mentioned in non-fiction articles (e.g. authors, real-life places that fictional texts are set, literary concepts like climax), consider if the spoiler is encyclopedic in that article. It may be better to just remove the example.

The current discussion on spoiler warnings concerns whether they should be retained for fictional works. I don't think anyone is proposing to change it to allow spoilers in works of non-fiction. ObiterDicta ( pleadingserrataappeals ) 18:33, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the template is redundant placed under the "Summary" header. ObiterDicta ( pleadingserrataappeals ) 18:34, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The book is not a work of fiction, but it is also not a documentary. It is an autobiography (of sorts). --However whatever 00:41, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You're right, it's not a "documentary" (which would be a film, not a book), but this is irrelevant. It's still non-fiction. ObiterDicta ( pleadingserrataappeals ) 15:11, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
