Photo

[edit]

Original page creator here: I contacted some folks from her official website to ask if they could provide a photo, and I did get them to release a publicity shot (though I don't know when it was originally taken, unfortunately). It might be better to find a candid performance shot, though, so if someone finds one floating around on the CreativeCommons, I think we should use that instead. Maybe there are some in Albanian, is there an Albanian Flickr? Sloggerbum (talk) 18:00, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Self Promotion

[edit]

This article seems more of like a self-promotion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.115.8.66 (talk) 21:14, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The whole article sounds like the person wrote it herself. So many compliments and out of proportion facts. Josephw24 (talk) 20:56, 23 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

How come the paragraph says her birthyear is 1979 while the "Background information" section says 1985? Mofoq (talk) 09:51, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

here is a photo of her passport which she gave out and one can see the date 14 my of 1979, so she is 35. http://images.botasot.info/uploads/largea_passport1410688354.jpg — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.5.84.212 (talkcontribs) 21:37, 25 November 2014‎

What is required are third-party reliable sources. A claimed photo of a passport does not meet that criteria without evidence that it's legitimate (with Photoshop or other editing software, a talented person can make a date-of-birth on a photo of a passport read almost anything they want).
Inserting dates of birth that are not sourced to a third-party reliable source, particularly when there's obvious dispute on the actual date, is a violation of Wikipedia's Biographies of Living Persons policy. Repeated violations of that policy to edit war over the D.O.B., has now resulted in the article being semi-protected. Continued such disruption can also result in user accounts being blocked for increasing periods of time for each offence.
If you want to insert D.O.B. to this article, you MUST provide a third-party reliable source that can substantiate the claimed date. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 22:40, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

- If you watch the first episode of Euros of Hollywood Bleona says she was 12 when the communism collapsed in Albania. The communism in Albania collapsed in 1990, which means she was born in 1978. This implies that she's 37 now. This is pure fact because she says that on the video and I do not think the TV would play with the videos they post on youtube. I can also tell you that I was 10 years old when she came to sing at my city and she was quite grown up. I was just a kid. She cant be just two years older than me, but that's personal evidence. You might not consider this as fact. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.246.7.107 (talk) 03:15, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Interpreting the statement and calculating it yourself would be original research. What is needed is a third-party reliable source that states it. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 22:40, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Another factor here is that her first album was released in 1997. If she was born in 1985 she would have been 12, and that's (in my opinion) not a 12 year old on the photos of said album or music videos. 18 is much more likely. Seems like this is one of those cases where the publicist and artist are trying to make them younger than they are, that is happening a lot lately. Promotional language

[edit]

I removed some promotional language, specifically "entirely on the strength of its fierce attitude and club-ready beat with no promotional without any support from a music label ... winning over viewers with her offbeat humor and outrageous personality". TeamBleonaOfficial (talk · contribs) has reverted this with an edit summary I don't understand, about account being hacked. Bringing this to Talk page. TeamBleonaOfficial, statements made in Wikipedia articles should have a neutral point of view and avoid WP:PUFFERY. Tacyarg (talk) 22:30, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The account wasn't hacked on Wiki, someone created an account with an email not ever intended to be used on Wikipedia and created a username reflecting something official without permission and made changes that a Wikiapeda page that has no reason to be edited. There is no official account and I wish to remove and undo anything done on this account and by whoever did this. The entire history of changes are wrong on this account.
I tried on my end to revert everything back to how it was before the changes were made as soon as I discovered this had happened to avoid confusion. I am trying to figure out how someone got this email and made this account. None of what was done on this account is legitimate and needs to be removed and undone. EVERYTHING! I don't know why or how this has happened and I wish to undo and correct it back to the version before 6-28-23. If possible I would like the account to be deleted as well so there is no potential of it being used in the future and to mitigate any security issues that this may cause in the future. I'm truly sorry this happened and I'm not sure how it happened yet, and I wish to undo/delete everything this account did. TeamBleonaOfficial (talk) 00:25, 30 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, thanks for your reply. I think the article is ok now - back to the version before 28/06/23, apart from the changes I made. Per WP:Delete account, accounts cannot be deleted, but your changes have been reverted and I can see that your account has been renamed as you requested. Tacyarg (talk) 08:17, 30 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much for doing this and I appreciate the prompt response.
I deeply apologize for this incident and the time you had to spend to resolve it.
Your edits seem great.
While I understand the account can't be deleted and I appreciate we can keep track of everything; I want to state for personal redundancy that there should never be any further activity on this account unless for communication via this thread only. I will be changing the email address to a personal one to ensure the account is no longer used.
There was a new employee who had gotten access to emails this week and created this account without approval or my knowledge and then further tired to hide it when I received the email about the username violation; thus why I thought my email was hacked yesterday. I'm greatly hurt by their actions and they are no longer associated with us. DELETE THIS USER (talk) 18:10, 30 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
